The next Trauma & Resilience
Find your shake - try TRE® (TRAUMA & TENSION RELEASE EXERCISES)
"Human beings develop PTSD because of frozen emotions. In the case of childhood abuse, there is no escape. The child has to freeze his emotions, because she/she cannot get away from the source of trauma (who is most often the parent).
Long-term suppression leads to excess energy being trapped in our bodies This results in chronic emotional and physical tension, illness and mental distress.
Through TRE® we explore how the tremor mechanism helps regulate our systems both emotionally & physically.
We help participants to reactivate their long-forgotten natural tremor in safe, guided online sessions.
Group and private work involved.
This terrific no-talk methodology is able to resolve a variety of mental and physical problems.
TRE® engenders a sense of calm, helps with sleep, back pain, stiffness, anger, depression, shifts physical ailments and helps resolve stuck emotional patterns. The uses for TRE® are myriad and wonderful.
Created by Dr David Berceli, TRE®'s simple series of exercises is designed to activate the body's natural tremor mechanism.
Our sessions are conducted online with a truly global attendance - Panama, UK, USA, Kenya, Italy, Malta are some of the places from which clients have materialized to shake themselves to wellness. For more info, please check here

During lockdown, I received a grant from Africalia as part of their Creativity is Life project to reflect on the response to Covid-19 & to conceive the "world of tomorrow."
Working with, text, collage and artist interviews, I came up with this . Many thanks to Africalia for providing me with this opportunity to focus on creativity and to connect with other imaginative and visionary artists and thinkers.
Watch this space for a series of views and opinions from wonderful thinkers and do-ers on moving forward, and what is important to shift to create a healthier and more connected "world of tomorrow".
As part of an anthology created by the International Literary Festival, Berlin, I went to Kakuma refugee camp in Northern Kenya to write about the refugee situation there.
My vision is to continue to document stories from the camps, and to bring TRE® and relevant somatic trauma relieving practices to such places to help mitigate the great stress of long term existence in the camps - an amalgam of two passions.
