Trauma to Resilience group therapy
Starting end January 2022

“I had been fortified by trauma, the way a bone, once broken, grows back stronger than it had been.”
― Charles Blow, Fire Shut Up in My Bones

Dates and time tbc, but  looking to serve the antipodean side of the world

“Compassionate Inquiry (CI) gently uncovers and releases the layers of childhood trauma, constriction and suppressed emotion embedded in the body, that are at the root of illness and addiction.”

Given that trauma is the invisible force that shapes so much of our lives - including the way we make sense of the world - finding a way to process through it is one of the most profound factors in determining overall success, happiness, contentment.

Over a period of 6 weeks, in a series of 1.30 hr live interactive group therapy sessions we will help you to do some of the work that allows for revealing and readjustment of these trauma layers.

If you are suffering from anxiety, stress, stuck patterns, recurring triggers, if you have a big emotional situation going on, something you need to process or examine, then this is the space for you.

Using Compassionate Inquiry and other somatically relevant practices  we will touch, explore, and together help move towards healing some of those core wounds.

As Gabor often states, CI originated in a group setting, and working this way contains a particular potency. We will use our 90 minute live segments together to harness that, and to connect, support and uncover those areas and perceptions where the past might be affecting the present.

The groups will be run by trained CI students, who will also bring their numerous other embodied modalities to the group.  We also plan to have a few wonderful guest facilitators, including psychodrama.

This is not a drop-in group experience, and in order to create appropriate safety, you would need to ensure attendance at as many sessions as possible.  It is also a camera-on group conducted via zoom.

We will work with triggers, pain, shame, excavate some younger memories and look at where our childhood adaptions present today. We will examine and work with resourcing, with our innate brilliance.

Registration closes 21st October with all relevant forms filled in, and payment made by that date.
There are a maximum of 20 places for the group.

Rates have been kept low and are £240  / €290 / USD $330/ ZAR 4500 / Ksh 20,000
 for the full 6 weeks.

There are a few means-related scholarships available.

There will be space in the first session to ask for particular topics to be explored, so do have a think and see if there is anything that you feel might be of interest to you, and also what you feel you would like to get out of the group so we can set intentions for our time together.

“Knowing oneself comes from attending with compassionate curiosity to what is happening within.” Gabor Mate
